Debt Restructuring and Rescheduling

Payment before harvest is not destiny.

Jânio spent 39 years approving restructurings inside Banco do Brasil. Today he realigns your debt to the day you sell, not the day the bank picked.

Talk to Jânio.

Is this your case?

Is this your case?

  • It's your case if

you live from what you plant, raise or harvest.

Soybeans, corn, cattle, coffee — you're in the right place.

  • It's your case if

the debt sits in five places and there is one harvest.

Leave it with us. We sit with all of them — at once.

  • It's your case if

the instalment falls due before the sale.

There are ways. Stretching the calendar is what we do.

  • It's your case if

it has gone to court, or your name is flagged.

Still a case for us. You can call.

  • It's your case if

the bank talks in words that aren't yours.

That language is ours. Jânio spent 39 years speaking it.

Seventy years inside the bank. Today, on your side of the table.

Numbers, not promises.

  1. 70

    years inside the bank

Both partners' entire careers, at Banco do Brasil.

  2. R$ 3 bn

    restructured

    In rural and corporate credit.

  3. 2015

    on your side since

Year after year, harvest after harvest.

  4. 4

You know the size of your debt. You do not know its shape.

The number is on your statement. The shape is what we see for you — that's our job.

  1. Several creditors, one harvest.

Every deal closed on its own changes the maths of the next.

  2. The payment falls due before the sale.

The contract followed the bank's calendar, not the field's.

  3. The conversation changes language.

MCR, CAPAG, CMN resolutions, valuations, collateral.

  4. Credit locks up

exactly when the next harvest has to go in the ground.

  1. Diagnosis

We read the contracts and put every creditor on a single page. Then we work out your real payment capacity from your own production, not from a market average.

This is your case ifyour debt is spread out and nobody has ever added it all up in front of you.

  2. Technical proposal

We build the proposal in the format credit analysis requires: harvest cash flow, collateral, valuations, track record. It is the document the analyst needs in hand to take your case forward.

This is your case ifyou have asked before and heard no, without ever learning what the request was missing.

  3. Amicable negotiation

We sit down with the creditors. All of them, inside the same window of time, so that one agreement does not knock down another.

This is your case ifevery separate conversation with one creditor complicated the conversation with the next.

  4. Credit and continuity

With the liabilities reorganised, the subject goes back to credit: banks, cooperatives and funds, funding projects, and agribusiness instruments such as CPR, CRA, CDCA and barter, when they fit the case.

This is your case ifwhat is holding back the next harvest is not the field, it is the credit limit.

30 years at Banco do Brasil, retired as a director in Brasília. Responsible for AgroEasy's institutional and financial structure.

Alexandre Garces leads operations and projects, Ricardo Silva handles analysis. Whoever analyses your case is who sits in the negotiation.

We are easy to find.

We work with medium and large producers — grains, beef and dairy cattle, coffee. Individuals and companies, cooperatives and agro-industries, across the Centre-West with a focus on Mato Grosso, Matopiba, Minas Gerais and São Paulo.

Producers who run the property from outside the country are served from Lisbon.

We also provide ATNI, on-site technical assistance, complementary to the financial structuring.

We are public.Your case is not.

What you tell us stays between you and the team analysing your case. We do not disclose the name, the amount or the terms of any client. Not even the successful ones.

The questions that come up most.

  • What is the difference between renegotiating and restructuring?

Renegotiating usually deals with one contract and one creditor. Restructuring and rescheduling deals with the whole liability: every creditor, every guarantee and the payment capacity of the operation, together. Rescheduling means extending the term and reorganising the conditions so the payment fits the real income of the activity. That is why deals closed one at a time tend to get in each other’s way.

  • Can a debt that is already in court be dealt with?

Yes, cases with debt already in court are analysed normally. What changes is the set of paths available, and that is exactly what the analysis maps out.

  • I have a credit restriction on my name. Can we still talk?

Yes. A restriction on your name is part of the picture the analysis needs to see, not an obstacle to the conversation.

  • Do I need a lawyer?

Our work is technical and commercial: diagnosis, proposal and friendly negotiation with the creditors. When a case also calls for legal support, it runs in parallel, with the lawyer you trust.

  • Do you guarantee a discount, a rate or approval?

No. Nobody can guarantee that, and anyone who does should set off an alarm. What we do is build the technically correct proposal and run the negotiation with every creditor involved.

  • What do I need to have at hand for the first conversation?

Ideally contracts, statements and the list of creditors. If it is not organised, start with what you have. Organising it is part of the work.

Tell us your situation.

There are paths to restructure. Every case has to be analysed. Send a message telling us what is happening. We read the contracts, work out your payment capacity and sit down with the creditors to design a proposal the credit committee can assess.

First conversation, no commitment and in confidence.
